An Everlasting April Shower of Recs & Links
The best small mug + the wallpaper that resists the market-inflected gaze + the best new thing at Trader Joe's + Just Trust Me
IT’S APRIL! IT’S BEAUTIFUL! IT’S ALSO RAINING ALL THE TIME! Again, it’s April!
This weekend I’m running the Sunflower Half Marathon, a beautiful trail course through the Methow Valley. The name is inaccurate but directionally true, because you run through mountain meadows filled waves of spring wildflowers, including the sunflower-resembling balsalmroot, on glorious display here on the trails of Missoula, Montana:
[The race is TKTKTKTK; there’s also a full marathon and a relay (which divides the marathon into five sections). The race sells out almost immediately after year, so if this sounds like your jam and you want to hang out in one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest in April of next year, put the registration date on your calendar]
While I’ve been training for this race I’ve also been amassing a whole bunch of article links and hyper-specific stuff recs. If that sounds like the sort of thing you’d like to peruse on a Sunday morning, come join us (and get all the other benefits of subscribing to Culture Study).
