Here's a Bama-Free Expanse of Links & Recs
And four good books I read on vacation
It’s been an atypical week of Culture Study: a post every day, no threads, all Bama all the time. This Sunday marks the return to Culture Study as usual — and offers new subscribers a taste of what they’ll get once a month with the massive links/recs posts — and has the benefit of being a relatively low lift for me, your writing-weary guide.
So here’s a few things I’ve been reading, listening to, using, and loving this August — including the four fiction books I cruised through on vacation (three of which I really, really liked).
The rest of the post is for paid subscribers only — if you want to join us and get all of the perks (the weekly threads, the ability to comment, and access to other subscriber-only content — come join us!)
And as always, there’s no affiliate links save for Bookshop (and all of those affiliate proceeds go to Books for Prisoners). I’ve offered gift links when possible; if there’s no gift link and you’re not a subscriber (no one can subscribe to everything) remember that Pocket is your friend.
