I hope this question can be answered because it has bugged me since you started this series and I became aware of just how big the social media presence of these instructors has become, but do these instructors have social media assistants that they hire or does Peloton provide someone? Because I cannot wrap my head around the amount of engineering (as an architect I hate "architecting" - sorry, AHP!) required to develop and schedule these posts while at the same time doing the work that put them in that position - you know: planning and leading workouts in addition to all the general fitness activities they need to do to stay in shape.
Oh I kinda hate architecting too, I deleted it and put it back three times! Let's say ENGINEERING. And I wish I knew the answer too, but my *suspicion* is that they have people doing a lot of the maintenance work (and making sure the right people are tagged in #sponcon, etc) but then they write the captions themselves.
Yep, I'd say they have someone doing the detail work. I'm guessing Peloton provides support - like a traditional PR company would operate - or, that they have their own assistants there. I know Robin, for example, has a dedicated assistant at Peloton.
I think it’s a mix of both - some instructors probably have assistants handling their social media and sponcon deals and some do not. That said I was fervently following ally loves wedding at first because I was so confused on the timeline and felt like I needed to do a deep dive. Ended up following random friends of hers who were at the wedding just so I could watch their stories (lol..the shame..😅) and it was truly shocking how they seemed to be uploading their IG stories in perfect cadence with the “real” wedding. For example this one friend’s story seriously seemed like it was live (she’s put up videos at dinner, then 1hr later her stories got a bit wilder, and 30 mins after that it got crazy and crazier on the dance floor). I’d love to see the instructions that were sent around for social media posts! Truly crazy. Idk how she got random friends to follow the rules so well 😅😅
